Tucson, Arizona

On our drive from Carlsbad Caverns to Tucson we found a remarkable RV park that had room for us for a few days while we took time to visit a nephew and his family. We had not spent any time in a Thousand Trails RV Park and found this one to be quite impressive with all of the optional activities including pickle ball, bocce ball, golf and billiards. This place had it all including homes, tiny houses, mobile homes, and RV lots for sale. We stayed for 6 days and so enjoyed the weather, the location, and the three refreshing pools!

Points of Interest:

1. Bike: Take the E-Bikes around the gated RV park. You can even drop in for a round of golf at the executive course located on the property.

2. One recommendation for dinner is the "Saguaro Corners Restaurant & Bar." We also enjoyed the outdoor dining at the RV Resort while watching the evening sunset.

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

1. Saguaro National Park in southern Arizona includes 2 parks located on either side of the city of Tucson. Seeing these impressive cactus is even better while hiking, biking, or riding through the park. We found it interesting that it takes 45 years for a Saguaro to grow the first "arm."

2. Mount Lemmon: This 30 mile drive up the mountain provides lovely views as well as a change in climate when it is too warm in the city. You can stop in for lunch at the top or get a cookie and ice cream at the Mount Lemmon Cookie Cabin.

3. There are over a million people living in the Tucson so be cautious while riding in this populated region.
