Camp Verde, Arizona

One of our many trips to Sedona; Hike, Bike, and Ride!

Camp Verde, Arizona (Sedona)

As John and I approached our final destination for the year 2021, we found ourselves looking forward to stopping long enough to catch our breath and take time to prepare for the next year's adventure. We planned a 3 month stay as "snowbirds" hoping to get a feel for what Arizona has to offer. This RV location allowed us time to swim, read, rest, and ride. We took extra time to explore hiking in Sedona, thus creating a lifetime of memories. The additional time with family, friends, and new acquaintances was an absolute bonus to our time here.

We reach the top of Seven Sacred Pools hike.

Points of Interest:

Hike. Bike. Ride. Repeat...

1. Hike: We used "The Sedona Hiking Guide Book" for 30 trails and hiking maps and it worked fabulously. We enjoyed hiking so many of the Sedona trails thanks to this book.

2. Bike: There are countless hiking, biking, and UTV paths in the Verde Valley to take advantage of so come prepared with boots, hydration, and tire repair!

Walnut Canyon outside of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Hike, bike, and riding with friends!

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

1. The Grand Canyon Ride. This 350 mile loop from Camp Verde was so worth it. We traveled the roads early enough in November to get great weather and made it home right at sunset. You can drive or ride. No words or photo does justice to this expanse. You must see this for yourself.

2. Peyson to Winslow. Yes, we stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, had an ice cream in the local shoppe, and bought a couple of post cards! Be sure and check out the 911 Memorial and visitors center while in town.

3. Prescott to Skull Valley. If you make it over to Yamhill be sure and visit the Granite Mountain Memorial for the 19 firefighters that lost their lives saving the towns of Yamhill and Prescott.

4. Taking the 89A to any location in this area is a treat. Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Jerome (a historic mining town), Sedona, and through the Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff. You will smile as you ride these curvy roads.

So many special motorcycle rides in this Arizona area including rides with friends.

RV Location:

One of the finest RV locations so far. We spent time enjoying the pool, the two hot tubs, and the enjoyment of a very nice clubhouse.
