Devils Tower , Wyoming (Pine Haven)

There can many factors that contribute to a person deciding to retire, sell their home, and travel full time. One inspiration that we had was seeing our son return to the East Coast to finish his masters at MIT. Traveling by car we heard about his adventures along the way. One special place in particular was his stop at Devils Tower and his quest to catch the last glow of sunset. His photo pictured above has been a centerpiece in the Grand Shamrock.

Hike: There are a couple of options for hiking around Devils Tower. We took the short hike in order to allow time for photos. Take time to head out to the flats and spend time enjoying the Prairie Dogs.

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

As we pulled in to Pine Haven the skies opened up! We made the decision not to unload the motorcycles while in this location. Having only a night or two in one area lends itself to focus on hiking. We had time to visit the town of Pine Haven and restock the RV with fresh salad and supplies.
