After miles of hiking and travel it felt good to be in the warm Texas sunshine, sitting poolside with friends, and put our feet up for awhile. With side trips to Dallas, Fort Worth, and Buc-ee's you can't go wrong!

The Fort Worth Cattle Drive is an experience you will not soon forget.

Points of Interest:

1. The Fort Worth Stockyards has a cattle drive twice a day. The longhorns travel the street creating a heart-warming sight. The respect that the workers showed these animals is impressive.

2. Stop into Billy Bobs to shoot a game of pool and enjoy a Lone Star with your spouse. A definite stop while in Fort Worth.

3. The JFK Memorial and Holocaust Museum are located just across the street from each other. Be prepared for an emotional day. The weight of the Holocaust and the loss of 6 million Jews as well as the assassination of an American President can be overwhelming.

4. Pioneer Plaza is a large public park located in downtown Dallas. We enjoyed the cattle drive and longhorn sculptures as we strolled through the park.

5. Check out Marty B's in Bartonville, Texas. With live music, a welcoming modern ranch atmosphere, and delicious Texas specialities, Marty Bs is a place to kick back and make lasting memories with friends.

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

Despite the freeway system in this area being often 4 lanes wide and always moving we found travel by motorcycle easy. Parking was smooth even in Dallas. We did limit riding in this area as many roads are straight, long, and populated. We are saving our handlebar time for Fredericksburg!
