The Big Red School House & Community Center, home of the National RV Training Academy or NRVTA, is located next door to the Texan RV Park in Athens, Texas. We actually signed up for a three day seminar put on by Marc and Trish from "Keep Your Daydream" on YouTube. We so enjoyed the technical class presentations on RV systems, maintenance, and solar upgrades. We have learned along this journey that all RV's need a little repair, so more knowledge is always beneficial!

Points of Interest:

1. We arrived in Athens, Texas for the 3 day seminar expecting to learn a lot. What we also found was the real benefits of networking with other RV enthusiasts and participating in dinners, games, and touring a few wineries. One added benefit was watching John lead our entire bus in song. Now that was fun!

2. E-Biking around one of the many ponds and a few short walks was all the exercise we had time for with an otherwise full schedule. Now, back to class...

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

The sun was shining, our brains were full, and we needed a break. We raced out of class and threw our leg over the bikes making enough time to tour the Athens area. There is always something to be said about getting some fresh air and a little "helmet time" to finish out our day.

There are several small towns in the area noted for antique stores, local shops, and restaurants. Looks like we will need more time to explore this area on the next trip through.
