Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho

Twin Falls, Idaho:

Over the years of living in the Northwest we spent very little time in Idaho. We discovered a low cost option of staying at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds. We were in for a treat seeing this part of Southern Idaho. Not only do you get to visit the "Niagra Falls of the West" (the Shoshone Waterfall), we were able to ride to Stanley via the Sawtooth Mountains. This range has unique peaks reaching over 10,000 feet. Simply majestic!

The City of Rocks, Also, Idaho is worth the drive.

Points of Interest:

1. Walk across the Perrine Bridge and enjoy the 500 foot view down to the Snake River. Be sure and stop at the visitors center and take in the Evel Knievel Jump Monument.

2. Drive over to view the Shoshone Falls on the Snake River. A beautiful sight any time of the year.

3. Hike and explore the City of Rocks about 60 miles out of Twin Falls. You will be impressed by any person attempting a climb in this area!

Take time to watch the jumpers from The Perrine Bridge - just a short walk from the visitors center.

A stop for lunch on the way to Stanley, Idaho.

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

1. We traveled  Highway 93 and Highway 75 to Stanley, Idaho. There is so much to see along this route including the Sawtooth Mountains, the towns of Sun Valley and Haley, and the gorgeous Redfish Lake.

2. You can take Highway 93 south to Jackpot, Nevada. Better yet, ride around the local roads and sight see along the Snake River. Be sure to ride down into the canyon and take time to smile while watching the Marmots pop their heads up and sneak across what is the Canyon Springs Golf Course.
