Jackson, Wyoming
Jackson, Wyoming:
Jackson, Wyoming is a busy and beautiful location. Be sure and reserve an RV site early or drop in to the visitors center for a map and instructions to the dispersed camping options in the Grand Teton area. We found that a week of dispersed camping was uplifting. It left us with a feeling of peace and satisfaction.
The hiking, biking, and motorcycling in this area is simply stunning. Where else can you see a moose while out riding an e-bike on one of the many miles of bike paths that surround the town and the national park. Seeing a second moose on our hike to Inspiration Point was yet another experience we were grateful for!
Points of Interest:
1. Hike: Jenny Lake to Inspiration Point and Hidden Falls. This was one of our favorite hikes on this entire journey. Along the way we were rewarded with seeing two moose tucked away in the large tree grove. Be sure and continue on to Cascade Canyon where you can stand along Canyon Creek that flows just below Mount Owen in all of its glory.
2. Bike: The bike path from the RV park into town is wide and well maintained. Once in Jackson you can catch the bike path all the way out through the Tetons!
Scenic Motorcycle Routes:
1. Grand Teton National Park is a photographers dream. Start your ride at the Visitors Center and head to Mormon Row for the classic photo stop. Ride on to Oxbow Bend, Schwabacher Landing, Jackson Lake, and Jenny Lake. The exposed peaks of the Tetons make for absolutely stunning landscape photos and the abundance of wildlife provides many opportunities for any photographer.
2. We chose to explore the dispersed camping options in the Tetons by motorcycle. Numerous sites were available at Spread Creek and Teton View.
3. From Spread Creek you can travel Highway 26 to Dubois, Wyoming driving through the Wind River Mountains. Stop in Dubois and get a photo with the "World's Largest Jackalope!"
