Alberton, Montana

This was a short stop for us as we planned some motorcycle maintenance at the local Missoula BMW shop. The town of Alberton has just over 500 people and limited services, but our RV site was situated right along the Clark Fork River. The evenings began to get longer and we were able to enjoy them at this quite location overlooking this beautiful river!

Points of Interest:

1. Bike: The Route of the Hiawatha mountain bike trail is 15 miles long with 10 train tunnels and 7 sky-high trestles. The ride starts as you enter the 1 1/2 mile long St. Paul Pass Tunnel. Dress warm and bring a headlamp! From Alberton it is a 118 mile drive and so worth it. This is one of those "Bucket List" items that you will not regret.

2. Bike or Hike: From the RV site you can follow the river road over the bridge on some nice dirt roads. Be sure to stop in town and check out the parks disc golf or enjoy a stop at one of the local taverns.

Scenic Motorcycle Routes:

1. Most of our motorcycle riding in the Missoula area ended up being more business related to the maintenance had done on our bikes.
