Williams, Arizona
Williams, Arizona:
We have made it to Williams, Arizona for a week of “hike, bike, and ride!” Our Friday night gratefulness is being able to spend time with two very special people. We loaded the e-bikes in the back of the truck and drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, We rode to the South Kaibab Trailhead to explore the option of hiking later this week to the Skeleton Point. The Trails of a million years.... That was cool. You could spend a lifetime studying rocks here....
What a pleasant surprise to get a call from Duncan. His last day at MIT and he wanted to share that news as he walked home. As a mom, I so appreciate his call. He has worked hard at this job and he is now heading off in another direction. I can only imagine what he is feeling. Relief, excitement, trepidation? He is now “on vacation” for a couple of weeks before he starts the new job. We are looking forward to some time with him as he passes through Williams. It will give us time to chat about how is is feeling, what his plans are, and how those last days ended at his long, almost 21 years of academia.
A Vintage look at biking at the Grand Canyon National Park.
