Filteres Water for your RV
Filtering your water is a must for ALL RV’s.
We use two external water filters for all water entering the RV:
One in-line filter on the hose.
A second large water filter at the intake (Picrtured)
In addition, we use a Brita water filter for all drinking water. See link below.
Using bottled water may be needed when you are on well water or have questionable water sources.

Drinking Water:
Using a water filter for all water from your water tank is a good idea.
We clean our water tank 1-2 times a year and still use the filter.
We found the price comparable to Walmart, Amazon, and Fred Meyer.
We still use bottled water for daily water consumption in areas where the water is questionable at certain locations.
Use Save-A-Drop
We use a Save-A-Drop water meter to measure just how much water you are running into your water tank.
It works well for filling the tank or measuring water use for cleaning your black tanks.
Carry only the eater you need and never over fill again. 😅
Water Conservation and comfort!
This Shower Head was a recommendation from another RV YouTube couple that we watch. We purchased one and are quite happy with the results.
Works well, even at low water pressure: which happens at RV parks. 😳
Easy install, stream settings, and has several color options.
Use an Electric cord “T”
An electrical cord with the “T” will limit pulling at the RV side wall.
The JACKERY!
This small charging pack comes in handy for recharging iPhones, lights, or even runs my laptop if needed.
It is quite handy on travel days or for those dispersed camping days.
This photo is our Jackery from over 6 years ago and it still works great!
Truckers Map:
Especially for longer RV units a Truckers Map may really come in handy.
This particular type of map shows you all of the state routes that are safe and used by truckers that notes low hazards, bridges, and only the roads that a trucker will use.
It even includes rest area locations.
Weather Safety:
We have used two weather alert safety systems to use when in an area that has high weather warnings. One handheld and one countertop model and found this one to work well.
We have experienced several alerts including high winds, tornados, and hurricanes.
Be sure and set the device for your area when needed.
Tire Safety when pulling your RV:
TPMS: A must for all RV’ers, especially if your plan is to travel longer distances. Our RV TPMS has alerted us to two major tire issues and have proven to be invaluable!
Tire pump: We carry a quick inflator for bicycles, a pancake air compressor for the RV and truck tires, and a portable Adventure Motorcycle pump for the motorcycles while out riding in the field. Having 18 tires to manage requires us to carry adequate resources.
We got “Struck by lightning!” Or rather… an Electro Magnetic Pulse. We share our story on YouTube but to tell it in person is way more impressive. We had so many repairs that followed this event that a video just does not show. We thought we were cautious during a lightning storm but we certainly learned to be even more diligent!
Stay safe all!
